Only Account Planning professionals can join the website in Stage 1. To join the website they can link their Twitter account (optional) and/or their LinkedIn account (this allows us to quickly screen them to make sure they really are Account Planning professionals).
So, once they have linked their Twitter and LinkedIn profiles, they can enter the website.
Once they enter the website, it will first look something like this:
A map of the land of Strategaria (with tall skyscrapers made out of charts). In the map there will be different "neighborhoods." These different neighborhoods will be different categories of research. They can view the land/city of Strategaria through a Consumer view, an Industry view, or a Company Story view (like how when you use Google Maps you can view the map with a traffic, satellite, or street view lens)

Neighborhoods for Industry view will be divided based on different industries, like automobile land, tech town, beauty district (beauty products), etc. So, if a planner is looking for insight on social media, he will click the neighborhood marked Tech Town.
So once they click a particular "neighborhood" (area of research they are interested in) it takes them to a new page. On this page they can view the research of other planners. So for example, if they click the neighborhood marked 'Teenville,' it will take them to all the research containing teen research. They can then comment on research, approve research (which is like a like button), and ask questions. They even have the option to upload their own research.
When they want to upload their own research, they will come across a standard template, which is the Research Form.
Research Form Template:
Problem (250 characters) (Its like the Subject Line, where they list the research problem)
Research (We will give them an option here to upload their PDF containing the research)
Insight (250 characters) (They will list the key insights their research contains)
Labels (They will label their research based on the 3 categories, which are Consumer, Industry, and Company Story).
So the goal of Strategaria Stage 1 is to let planners share their research and insights with one another. Account Planners are always looking for new insights and this is a quick and smart way for them to gain new insight about consumers, products, and new markets. It also allows them to get feedback on their research from other planners, which will improve their work. Finally, it also provides them the opportunity to network with other industry professionals.
I hope that this makes sense. We will go through it in class tomorrow so Sarah and I can answer your questions/concerns. Thanks.
