Each free stock photo site has the title, screenshot and a description of the service and how you can download the available images from the website.
1) Dreamstime

Usage/Review: The images from this website are certainly the best quality out of all the sites listed here. To start downloading you need to first create a free account. Then login and click the ‘Free Images’ grey button near the top. Using the search function to find what you want. Easy to use, and a growing number of pics available. View quick gallery!
2) Sxc

Usage/Review: Nice easy website to use. Lots of pictures available, although a reasonable percentage aren’t very usable. The categorisation system is terribly poor so rely on the search function, however even that chucks up dodgy results. You need to create a free account to start downloading the images.
3) PhotosBank
Visit Website
Usage/Review: Has annoying ‘sitepal’ banner at the top (at time of writing) so turn your speakers off when using the site. However No account makes it super quick and easy to use so worth a look if the others don’t provide what you need.
4) Stock Vault
Visit Website
Usage/Review: Not as many images as some of others, but very easy to use. You are not required to create an account so you can just visit them and download right away.
5) OpenPhoto
Visit Website
Usage/Review: Very basic design but easy to navigate. All photos ares of a very high quality, they are clearly strict with what they accept.
6) TurboPhoto
Visit Website
Usage/Review: Once again a basic design, but nice and easy to use. Only 2,000 images available, they do have another section but you have to sign-up for that.
Visit Website
Usage/Review: Very swanky design, great feel to the site making it pleasant to use. No account needed, navigate to the images you want and download.
Visit Website
Usage/Review: You need to create a free account in order to download files. Nice lightbox feature, lots of images completely different to those on other sites.
Visit Website
Usage/Review: Simple site to use and loads quickly as well, decent growing collection of photos available. No account is required, locate the image you want and hit ‘download’.
10) Flickr
Visit Website
Usage/Review: Hugely popular photo sharing site. A great mix of professional photography, but also amateur pics which can sometimes give a great feel if you want to use stock images in blog posts or traditional articles. You must always give credit via a live link, so remember to respect that requirement.
