Pre kick logos

  1. I am liking the middle one on the left the bee hive thing missing one piece. The type treatment doesn't seem right though. It is similar to the last round the type and the Mark are so separate they don't seem to go together. They should be working together to form the logo.

After last week, looking at these I typed in hexagon logo and a lot of very similar logos came up. I like the idea of using a bee hive, as a communal symbol. But are there any other images that can be thought of to convey what the site does? 2 person teams, art projects, creating together. Time has become a serious issue and we need something, but it's worth thinking about.

  3. Actually, I don't think use hexagon is a big issue. Same as STRATEGARIA's logo, If you google" mountain logo", there are tones of similar logos show up, too.

  4. I think the difference is that the Strategaria logo has been treated in a way that makes it feel unique. While it might look like mountains (I thought it was representing buildings though? Or graphs?) I don't think I have seen another logo like it. Where the hexagons seem strangely familiar. We just need a logo though I was just making suggestions of things to think about.

  5. I'm not feeling any of the hexagonal ones. I actually like the last one (bottom right). However, I think there a few too many triangles. Can u remove a few of the top ones? Second favorite is the first one (top right). Its really interesting lol.

  6. Hey there

I think the hexagon logo is played out (D&AD, AAU federalists etc.) just google hexagon logo and you'll see what I mean.

Why not try designing an actual hive? I think that could be interesting. If not a hive then try to visualize what a network would look like. Good luck :)

  7. The hive idea might be promising, especially since its a collaborative website (and bees work together). But I am not digging the hexagonal shape at all in above logos. I agree with Jessica.

  9. Marina, we need a logo sooner than tomorrow afternoon, in order to enter the campaign into the spring show. The hexagons aren't working, instead of taking time putting these immediately into illustrator try sketching out a bunch of them take a picture and post that, so that we can see more than just five potential logos.
